We Are The Church!

We help make it what it is.

I will be friendly, if we are.

It will be holy, If we are.

Its pews will be filled, if we help fill them

It will do great work, if we work.

It will be prayerful, if we pray.

It will make generous gifts to many causes,

if we are generous givers.

It will bring others into its worship,

if we invite and bring them.

It will be a church of loyalty and love,

of fearlessness and faith,

of compassion, charity, and mercy,

if we, who make what it is,

are filled with these same things.

Therefore, with the help of God,

let us now dedicate ourselves anew

to the task of being all the things

that we want our church to be.

O Lord, Hear our prayer!
